The Midwest Conference (MWC) has announced its preseason coaches poll for the upcoming men's tennis season. The Illinois College Blueboys have been predicted to finish sixth, having received 11 points.
Grinnell College is expected to lead this season with 36 points. The Pioneers ended the 2022 season undefeated in league play and secured their eighteenth consecutive MWC Men's Tennis Championship.
This year, the Blueboys welcome new head coach Scott Weakley. Returning players include top singles competitor Ethan Sabotta.
The 2022-23 MWC Men's Team Tournament is scheduled for Friday, April 28, at the Clubs at River City in Peoria, Illinois. The tournament will feature the top four teams from the final league standings competing for the team title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. Following this, the Individual Singles & Doubles Tournament will take place on April 29-30.
Illinois College's season opener is set against McKendree University on Friday, March 3, at 1:30 PM.
