The Illinois College Men's Track and Field team achieved notable success at the Millikin Big Blue Alumni Invite held in Decatur, Illinois. The event saw Xander Moushon secure an individual victory in the hammer throw with a distance of 48.48 meters. Additionally, the 4x100 meter relay team, comprising Jaden Saunders, DJ Williams, Miles Weddington, and Dylan Doss, clinched a title by completing their race in 42.41 seconds.
Several athletes from Illinois College also earned second-place finishes across various events. On the track, Dylan Doss finished second in the 200 meters with a time of 21.95 seconds, DJ Williams took second place in the 400 meters clocking 50.62 seconds, and Adam Hernandez was runner-up in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.60 seconds.
In field events, Mark Flores achieved second place in the javelin with a throw of 38.89 meters; Adam Sipes secured second place in the long jump with a leap of 6.14 meters; Drake Mudd came second in the triple jump reaching 11.17 meters; and Jackson Lee finished second in pole vault clearing a height of 4.40 meters.
The Illinois College team is set to host its outdoor home debut for the year at the True Blue Open next Saturday.
