Illinois College esports falls to Ohio Northern in Rocket League match

The Illinois College Esports Rocket League team faced a challenging match against Ohio Northern University on Thursday evening at the Meraki Gaming Center in Jacksonville, Illinois. The team, composed of Glenn Conway, Dwight Duijneveld, and Josh Hallanger, played three games but ultimately lost to the Polar Bears.

In the first game, Illinois College narrowly lost with a score of 3-4. The game saw a total of 15 shots on goal between both teams. Each player from Illinois College scored once, with Duijneveld leading in assists and saves for the team.

The second game was tougher for Illinois College as they were unable to score any goals, resulting in a 0-5 defeat against Ohio Northern's strong offensive play.

In the third and final game of the night, Illinois College managed to score one goal through Duijneveld with an assist from Conway. However, they fell short again with a final score of 1-4.

Throughout the match series, Duijneveld led his team in goals (two), assists (two), and saves (five). Conway contributed one goal and one assist while Hallanger added one goal and three saves.

The Rocket League team is scheduled to compete next against Ashland University on February 29 at 6:30 PM after taking a week-long break.
