Illinois College Esports secures third place at Purdue University Northwest tournament

The Illinois College Esports team recently participated in a tournament at Purdue University Northwest, marking their first competition of the year. The event included teams from Cornell College and Cleveland State. The Illinois College (IC) team secured third place in both Valorant and Rocket League.

In individual competitions, IC's Corbin Desbouillons achieved first place in the one versus one Valorant event, while Dwight Duijneveld took third place. In League of Legends, Noah Horsman finished second in the one versus one category.

During the Valorant team event, IC defeated Clarke University with a score of 13-11. Noah Horsman served as the in-game leader and contributed an ace to the team's victory.

Looking ahead, the IC Esports teams are preparing for their upcoming season during the spring semester. They will compete in both the Midwest Esports Conference and National Esports Collegiate Conferences.
