Midwest Conference leader Lawrence University defeated Illinois College in a women's soccer match on Saturday at Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl, with a final score of 2-1. This result affected Illinois College's standing, bringing their overall record to 9-4-3 and 1-2-2 in conference play. Meanwhile, Lawrence University improved their record to 9-4-2 and maintained an unbeaten streak in the conference with a 4-0-1 record.

The match saw the Vikings take an early lead when Ference Law scored at the 27:15 mark. The Lady Blues managed to equalize in the second half through Haley Sommer's team-leading tenth goal of the season. However, Lawrence secured victory when Ava Elder converted a penalty kick at the 60:08 mark.

Lawrence dominated in terms of shots, out-shooting Illinois College 22 to 7. For Illinois College, Haley Sommer attempted four shots, while Holly Morehart, Olivia Ralston, and Aliza Rodriguez each contributed one shot. Goalkeeper Sophia Kriegesmann recorded twelve saves during the match.

Looking ahead, Illinois College will return to Jacksonville for their Homecoming game against Lake Forest next Saturday at England Stadium. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff.
