The Midwest Conference has released its 2021 men's cross country preseason poll, with Illinois College projected to finish sixth. The poll, conducted among league head coaches, awarded Illinois College 25 points.
Grinnell College is predicted to take the top spot with 55 points. In the previous championship held in 2019 by Knox College, Grinnell's men's team emerged victorious.
Illinois College will have five returning athletes from their 2019 roster, including Eduardo Fulgencio, who was their leading finisher at the 2019 MWC Championship. The team did not compete in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Blueboys are set to start their season on September 1st at Illinois Wesleyan at 5:45 PM. Below are the complete results of the preseason poll:
