The Midwest Conference (MWC) has announced its Preseason Coaches Poll for the 2022 cross-country season. The Illinois College Blueboys have been projected to finish in sixth place, accumulating 29 points.
Lawrence University and Cornell College are predicted to lead this year's poll, each receiving 59 points from the league's head coaches. In the previous year, Lawrence secured its first MWC men's title in a decade by narrowly defeating Cornell by four points at the championship meet.
The Blueboys aim to improve on their sixth-place standing from last season. Key team members returning include First Team All-Conference honoree Elgin Scherff.
Illinois College will begin their season on Thursday, September 1st at the Titan Opener scheduled for 6:15 PM.
