The Illinois College Dance team recently participated in the Dance Team Union Nationals held at the Marriott World Center in Orlando, Florida. The competition took place over the weekend and featured teams from NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA competing in various categories.
The Lady Blues competed in the hip hop category against six other teams. After the preliminary round on Saturday, they secured fourth place with a score of 81.58. They were just half a point behind Fontbonne University Griffins, who were in third place.
On Sunday, during the finals, Illinois College improved their performance with a score of 84.26 but maintained their fourth-place position overall. The Lady Blues finished just 0.9 points shy of securing third place in what was described as a close competition.
