The Illinois College E-Sports team emerged victorious in a crucial match against Pratt Community College on Friday, securing their place in the UCL OW2 playoffs. The team achieved a decisive 3-0 win, advancing to face Glenville State in another critical matchup.
The games unfolded with Illinois College dominating each round. In Game 1, played on Ilios, IC secured a 2-0 victory. Game 2 took place on King's Row, where IC won 1-0. The final game on New Queen Street also ended with a 1-0 score in favor of IC.
Matthew Hallanger, Dwight Duijneveld, and Noah Horsman were instrumental in leading IC's eliminations during the match. Bunni Little and Jose Izaguirre-Gomez contributed significantly by providing over 32,000 points in healing.
Illinois College is now set to compete against Glenville State on Thursday, November 7th. The time for this upcoming match is yet to be determined.
