Last week, Representative Mike Coffey visited Aaron’s Rent To Own in Springfield to learn more about the business. Aaron's, founded in 1997, has expanded to seven locations across Illinois and serves the 95th District by furnishing homes and apartments. The business offers flexible options and provides installation and repair services for their appliances.
During his visit, Rep. Coffey discussed challenges faced by the franchise. The primary concern highlighted was high property taxes, followed by difficulties in finding hard-working employees. Rep. Coffey noted that "high property taxes impact businesses across Illinois and hurt their profit margin." He expressed his commitment to reducing these taxes as they take money from business owners and homeowners that could be redirected into the economy.
Rep. Coffey emphasized his priority to support businesses like Aaron’s so they can thrive and contribute to improving the economy in the 95th District and throughout Illinois.
He thanked Gopal Reddy and Kevin Milliron for their time during his visit.
