After losing their Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (SSBU) match against Miami University (OH), Illinois College (IC) dropped to the lower bracket in the UCL playoffs, setting a goal to reach the finals. They achieved a decisive victory over Radford University with an 8-0 score, bringing them closer to their target.

The IC Esports team adopted a new strategy for this crucial match against Radford, focusing on favorable match-ups rather than player rank. Jake Petrovich was chosen as the second player due to a promising match-up, which proved successful. Petrovich took 10 stocks from Radford, Julian Luaders claimed four stocks while losing only one, and Matt Hallanger contributed by securing one stock.

The SSBU team is now waiting to find out who their next opponent will be in another lower bracket match between either Mount St. Mary's University or Campbellsville University on Friday, November 7th at 7:00 pm.
