Illinois College Esports team faced challenging matches in the UCL playoffs for Valorant and Overwatch 2. On Thursday, the team competed in two crucial matches but unfortunately did not secure victories.

In Overwatch 2, Illinois College played against Glenville State in a lower bracket match. The team was defeated with a score of 3-1, ending their UCL season with a fourth-place finish for the fall season. Despite the loss, Illinois College achieved a notable victory by winning Game 2 on King's Row, marking the first time they won against one of the top two teams in the conference. Dwight Duijneveld led the team's attack with 52 eliminations. JC Izaguirre-Gomez and Noah Horsman both achieved a KDA of 4.0 or higher, while Bunnit Little contributed 46 assists.

Following this match, Illinois College competed in an upper bracket Valorant match against Pratt Community College but lost with a score of 2-0. This defeat does not eliminate them from contention as they will move to the lower bracket to attempt to reach the finals again for a rematch against Pratt Community College.

Illinois College is set to face Glenville State again on Friday at 7:00 pm in a must-win match. A victory would secure them a spot in the finals for another chance against Pratt Community College.
