Illinois College Esports ends Rocket League season with loss to Wartburg

The Illinois College Esports team wrapped up their 2024 MVEC Rocket League season with a match against Wartburg on Tuesday night. The game ended in a 4-0 loss for Illinois College, bringing their season record to 1-5. Despite the defeat, Illinois College has secured the final playoff spot for the upcoming spring MVEC Rocket League playoffs.

The match results were as follows:

- Game 1: Wartburg won 2-1 in overtime.

- Game 2: Wartburg took a decisive victory with a score of 4-0.

- Game 3: Another close match saw Wartburg win again, this time 3-2 in overtime.

- Game 4: Wartburg finished strong with a 5-1 win.

Illinois College's Dwight Duijneveld led his team with three goals and ten assists. Glenn Conway contributed one goal, three assists, and twelve saves. Kieran Powers added four saves to the team's efforts.

With this game concluding their fall season, Illinois College is set to return in January to begin their spring season activities.
