The Illinois College men's soccer team has received significant recognition in the Midwest Conference's postseason honors. The announcement highlighted several players from the program, emphasizing their achievements during the 2024 season.
Tyler Schiltz, a senior midfielder from Bourbonnais, Illinois, was named the league's Offensive Player of the Year and earned a spot on the first-team all-conference. Schiltz concluded his college career as Illinois College's all-time leader in every offensive category.
Joining Schiltz on the first team were two defenders: senior Brock Kennell from Mt. Zion, Illinois, and sophomore Jason Hernandez from Costa Mesa, California.
Additionally, Jacob Pelletier, a junior midfielder hailing from Cumming, Georgia, was selected for the second team.
The Blueboys ended their 2024 season with an impressive record of 13-5-2 overall and 7-1 in conference play. Both records represent single-season bests for Illinois College.
