Illinois College men's soccer player Tyler Schiltz has been recognized by the United Soccer Coaches Association, earning a spot on the second team All-Region IX. The announcement was made in Kansas City, Missouri.
Schiltz, a senior from Bourbonnais, Illinois, had previously been named the Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Year and received first-team all-conference honors last month. He concluded his college career as Illinois College's all-time leader in every offensive category. During this season, Schiltz led his team with 14 goals, four assists, and 32 points. He also recorded 47 shots with 23 being on target.
The Blueboys ended their 2024 season with an overall record of 13-5-2 and a Midwest Conference record of 7-1. Both records marked single-season bests for Illinois College.
