State Representative Mike Coffey has emphasized his commitment to improving the quality of life for constituents in Illinois' 95th District. He believes that direct communication with residents, business owners, and professionals is key to addressing state issues effectively.

Coffey has been actively engaging with businesses through his "Mike on Main Street" tours. These visits allow him to hear directly from business owners and workers about their needs, aiming to improve the business climate in Illinois. He states, "Building a stronger economy in Illinois will strengthen our communities and promote growth."

Highlighting the importance of literacy, Coffey hosted a Summer Reading Program encouraging children in the district to read eight books over the summer. Successful participants were celebrated with a pizza party at Papa Frank’s in Springfield and received certificates from the Illinois House of Representatives.

In addition to educational initiatives, Coffey organized a Pet Adoption Event at Papa Frank’s. The event aimed to find homes for rescue pets, supported by the Animal Protective League (APL). Several pets found new homes during this successful event.

Coffey also toured City Water Light & Power (CWLP) to understand its operations better. He expressed gratitude towards Doug Brown and Scott Rogers for providing insights into energy's future for the district and Illinois.

Community engagement was furthered through events like Touch-a-Truck, where children interacted with first responders while exploring emergency vehicles.

Coffey maintains an open-door policy at his district office, encouraging constituents to discuss important issues with him directly. He values these proactive conversations as essential for understanding community concerns.
