Rep. Nikki Budzinski, serving Illinois' 13th district in the U.S. Congress since 2023, recently expressed her support for various legislative initiatives through a series of tweets. Budzinski, who replaced Rodney Davis, has been active in advocating for military and local economic priorities.

On December 12, 2024, Budzinski highlighted her support for a significant pay raise for service members. She stated: "This week, I was proud to support the largest pay raise in generations for the countless service members who have devoted their lives to protecting our nation."

The same day, she emphasized her efforts to secure funding for telecommunications infrastructure and additional federal investment in the iFAB Tech Hub at the University of Illinois. Budzinski remarked: "We also secured key priorities, such as funding for telecomms infrastructure and additional federal dollars for the iFAB Tech Hub at @UofIllinois. These investments will make our country safer and our local economy stronger."

On December 13, 2024, Budzinski addressed concerns over foreign manufacturers dominating the market for Army soldier footwear. She is advocating for her BOOTS Act to promote domestic production at Belleville Boots: "It's unacceptable that the market for Army soldier footwear has been taken over by foreign manufacturers. I'll continue working to pass my BOOTS Act to support production at Belleville Boots and keep our troops safe with high-quality, American-made equipment."
