Illinois College Esports starts spring season with loss to Gustavus Adolphus

JACKSONVILLE, ILL - The Illinois College Esports team began their 2025 spring season with a match against Gustavus Adolphus College in the MVEC Valorant league. Despite their efforts, Illinois College lost the match 2-0.

The first game took place on the map "Haven," where Illinois College was defeated with a score of 13-8. The second game, played on the map "Fracture," ended with the same scoreline of 13-8 in favor of Gustavus Adolphus.

Despite the loss, Illinois College delivered a strong performance to start the season. They remain focused on improving their seeding for the end-of-season tournament, as all teams will qualify for the playoffs.
