Illinois Joining Forces (IJF) was established in 2012 as a result of an agreement between the Illinois Departments of Veterans’ Affairs and Military Affairs. The organization operates as a statewide network, combining public and private efforts to enhance services for service members, veterans, and their families.

Their mission, known as Operation Connect Illinois – CARES, aims to be the initial contact point for Illinois service members, veterans, and their families seeking support for growth, wellness, and community integration.

The initiative encourages veterans to express their opinions in Illinois. On behalf of the residents of the 95th District and the state of Illinois, appreciation is extended to those who have served. Community members are invited to share their thoughts by joining the Veterans’ Advisory Council through a provided form.
