State Senator Sally J. Turner | Illinois General Assembly
State Senator Sally Turner has announced her committee assignments for the 104th General Assembly and will continue in her leadership role within the Illinois Senate Republican Caucus as the Republican Caucus Whip. The announcement comes as lawmakers return to the Capitol following the January 8 inauguration.
"I am deeply honored to retain my leadership position within the Senate Republican Caucus," said Senator Turner. "Serving as Republican Caucus Whip is a privilege, and I remain dedicated to being a strong advocate for our Caucus and the citizens of Illinois."
Senator Turner will serve on several key Senate committees during this legislative session. Her assignments include roles on the Agriculture, Appropriations, Appropriations – Education, Child Welfare, Local Government, Revenue committees, and she will be the Minority Spokesperson for State Government.
"These committee assignments allow me to address critical issues such as supporting our farmers as well as ensuring fiscal responsibility," continued Senator Turner. "As we begin legislative work this week, I am eager to continue championing policies that benefit the people of Central Illinois and the entire state of Illinois."
Senator Turner has represented the 44th Senate District since 2021. The district includes all or parts of DeWitt, Livingston, Logan, Macon, Mason, McLean, Piatt, Sangamon, Tazewell, and Woodford counties.
