On January 28, 2025, Budzinski shared her personal experience with union benefits through her grandparents. She expressed concern over actions by former President Trump that she believes undermine labor rights: "Growing up, I saw how a union allowed my grandparents to build a bright future for our family. By attacking the NLRB, Trump is making it easier for corporations to union-bust, stall collective bargaining and undermine labor rights at the expense of working families like mine."
The following day, January 29, 2025, Budzinski extended greetings for the Lunar New Year to those celebrating in Central and Southern Illinois as well as globally: "Happy Lunar New Year to everyone celebrating in Central and Southern Illinois and around the world!"
Later on January 29, Budzinski highlighted her office's efforts in assisting Salt & Light Ministries in Urbana. Her team successfully recovered more than $650,000 owed by the IRS to the organization: "My casework team helped Salt & Light Ministries in Urbana recover more than $650,000 that they were owed from the IRS. It was great to visit Salt & Light this week to learn how this money will support their work helping families in need!"
