Rep. Nikki Budzinski, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Illinois’ 13th district, shared a series of updates on social media reflecting her recent activities and sentiments on various issues.

On January 29, 2025, Rep. Budzinski expressed her enjoyment from a visit to Hazel Dell Elementary where she participated in making Valentine's Day cards with second graders for veterans, military members, and first responders. She emphasized the importance of showing appreciation to these groups and encouraged others to participate by visiting a provided link. "I had the best time with second graders at Hazel Dell Elementary making Valentines’ Day cards for #IL13 veterans, military members and first responders! Our heroes deserve to know how much we appreciate them."

Later that day, Budzinski announced securing $89.5 million in disaster relief for St. Clair County as part of recovery efforts following last summer's storms. She also criticized the Trump Administration's attempts to reduce federal funding for such aid programs. "I was thrilled to help St. Clair County secure $89.5 million in disaster relief as our communities continue to recover from the devastating storms last summer."

On January 30, 2025, Rep. Budzinski conveyed her sorrow regarding an airline crash in Washington D.C., extending her thoughts to those affected and acknowledging the efforts of first responders involved in the incident response. "I’m heartbroken following the updates about the airline crash in DC."
