The Illinois College Esports team faced another defeat in the MVEC Valorant match against Coe College on Tuesday night, losing 2-0. This result places Illinois College at a 1-3 record for the season, with their sole victory coming from a forfeit by Central College.
In Game 1 on the Pearl map, Coe College secured a decisive win with a score of 13-1. Dwight Duijneveld was notable for Illinois College, achieving 28 eliminations and being the only player on his team with a kill-death ratio above one.
Game 2 took place on the Lotus map, selected by Illinois College. The team showed signs of improvement as players Noah Horsman and Kieran Powers found their stride. Despite their efforts, they were unable to overcome Coe's strong performance.
