State Representative Wayne Rosenthal recently hosted Victoria (Tori) Zobus from Sherman as a "Page for the Day" at the Capitol. Tori is a junior at Williamsville High School, where she participates in basketball and soccer. She intends to pursue college studies in environmental engineering and political science, with aspirations of potentially working for the legislature or serving as a member of the House of Representatives.

During her visit, Ms. Zobus had the opportunity to accompany Rep. Rosenthal to various meetings and attend a legislative session in the Illinois House of Representatives. Among these meetings was one with House Minority Leader Tony McCombie, Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello II, Natalie Phelps Finney from the Department of Natural Resources, and Chris from the Illinois Farm Bureau. The discussion focused on deer hunting seasons, deer population control, and related crop damage issues due to overpopulation in Illinois.
