Illinois College women's swim team triumphs over Millikin

The Illinois College women's swimming and diving team secured a victory in their final home meet of the season against Millikin with a score of 84-77. The competition took place at the Coultas Natatorium in Jacksonville, Illinois.

Jena Sellers led the team with two individual wins, claiming first place in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 27.12 seconds and the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:16.86. Other notable performances included Lauren Sinclair's win in the 100-yard freestyle, finishing at 1:01.66, and Abby Stevens who completed the 500-yard freestyle in 5:45.93 to secure her victory. Julie Edwards also excelled by winning the 100-yard breaststroke alongside Sellers.

In addition to individual successes, the team's relay performance was strong. The 400-yard medley relay team composed of Stevens, Edwards, Sellers, and Sinclair won their event with a time of 4:41.20.

Looking ahead, the Lady Blues will participate in the Midwest Conference Championships scheduled for February 21-23 at Grinnell.
