The Illinois College Valorant team faced a tough challenge on Tuesday night, falling to the undefeated Simpson College with a 2-0 scoreline. This result places Illinois College at 1-4 in the MVEC Valorant standings, leaving them with one final match in the series.

In Game 1 on the Lotus map, Simpson College dominated with a score of 13-1. The second game on Fracture saw a similar outcome, ending at 13-2 in favor of Simpson.

Despite the loss, Dwight Duijneveld led Illinois College with 17 eliminations during the match. Noah Horsman contributed with 16 eliminations. Ekko Nguyen and Kieran Powers each added ten eliminations, though the team did not manage any defuses throughout both games.

The statistics from this matchup show that while some players had notable performances, it was not enough to overcome Simpson's strong showing. With just one more MVEC match left, Illinois College will aim for a stronger performance against Buena Vista University on Tuesday, February 18th at 7:00 pm.
