State Representative Wayne Rosenthal of Morrisonville has expressed his reaction to the guilty verdicts in the corruption trial of former Illinois House Speaker Mike Madigan. The trial concluded with 10 guilty verdicts.
Rep. Rosenthal commented on the implications of the verdicts, stating, “We have seen the results of the abuse of power by Michal J. Madigan in long line of Democrats found guilty in his corruption web party for too long. This verdict once again confirms that absolute power over the legislative process, fundraising, and even redistricting of maps is unethically slanted to the party in power. I will continue to work with all of my colleagues on both sides of the political aisle to reform our system for the people of Illinois.”
