Abby Stevens achieved a notable performance for the Illinois College women's swimming and diving team during the final day of the 2025 Midwest Conference Championships held at the Russell K. Osgood Pool and Deck/Natatorium in Grinnell, Iowa.
Stevens secured an eighth-place finish in the 1,600-yard freestyle with a time of 18:50.71. Other contributors included Abbey Glaser, who finished 16th with a time of 19:48.29, Delaney Goddard at 17th with 20:27.11, and Alyssa Piper placing 21st in 21:23.69.
In another event, Julie Edwards from Illinois College placed 14th in the 200-yard breaststroke, clocking in at 2:36.15. The Lady Blues' relay team—comprising Jena Sellers, Lauren Sinclair, Glaser, and Stevens—also performed well by finishing eighth in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:55.59.
Overall, the Lady Blues concluded their participation by securing eighth place in the team standings with a total score of 152 points over four days.
