Illinois College basketball players Buzz Ritzel and Josh Harris have been recognized by the Midwest Conference for their outstanding performances this season. The league announced that Ritzel has been named to the first team, while Harris secured a spot on the second team.

Currently, Ritzel is averaging 18.3 points and five rebounds per game. He also boasts 47 assists and 27 steals. In conference standings, he leads in minutes played and ranks fourth in scoring among other notable statistics.

In Illinois College's records, Ritzel stands ninth all-time with 1,312 career points. He is also positioned fourth in free throws attempted and fifth in free throws made in school history.

Josh Harris, hailing from Maywood, Illinois, averages 15.1 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. Leading his team with 58 assists and contributing 21 steals this season, Harris holds the fifteenth position in career points at Illinois College with a total of 1,178.

The Blueboys are set to compete against Grinnell in the semifinals of the Midwest Conference Tournament on Friday at Monmouth, Illinois.
