Illinois College Esports faced a challenging end to their Valorant season as they were defeated by Coe College in the MVEC Playoffs on Monday night. The team initially showed promise on the map Haven but ultimately lost 13-8, unable to counter Coe's aggressive strategies. The second game on Lotus was more difficult, with Illinois College struggling and losing 13-2.
Noah Horsman delivered an impressive performance with 25 kills and an ACS of 209, while Dwight Duijneveld contributed 20 kills and an ACS of 192. Despite these efforts, Illinois College was unable to match Coe's momentum throughout the games.
As the team looks forward, their focus will shift to the Overwatch MVEC Playoffs scheduled for Saturday. Additionally, they are preparing for a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (SSBU) match against Coe College at Simpson College LAN on April 6th.
