Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) clinched a 6-1 victory over IC in a men's tennis match held at the Bellatti Tennis Center on Thursday. Despite an early advantage for IC, SWIC's strong singles performances secured their win.
IC initially gained a point in the match with a victory at No. 2 doubles by Tejas Zala and Andrus Dupre. However, SWIC quickly recovered by winning the other two doubles matches, leading 1-0.
SWIC maintained this momentum throughout the singles matches, achieving five victories and ultimately winning the dual. IC's sole singles point came from Jeff Wernsing at No. 2.
The Blueboys are set to conclude their Midwest Conference regular season on Saturday against Lake Forest, with a starting time of 9:00 a.m.
