The Illinois College Men's Soccer Camps return this June, headlined by Head Coach Evan Philpott, along with assistant coaches John Antoine and Dan Keller. Philpott, now in his fourth year at Illinois College (IC), previously led Jacksonville High School's soccer program.
The Kid's Summer Camp is scheduled for June 2-4, targeting children from kindergarten to eighth grade. The camp costs $65 for the full week. The sessions will focus on honing individual and technical soccer skills, such as dribbling, passing, and shooting. Activities will include group and individual skill development, teamwork exercises, and games. Each camper will receive a T-shirt and soccer ball, with an awards ceremony and team picture planned on the last day. Participants are asked to bring cleats, tennis shoes, shin guards, and a water bottle.
Following the Kid's Camp, the Men's Summer ID Camp takes place on June 7, catering to high school freshmen through seniors of Fall 2025. Priced at $50, the camp is an opportunity for players aiming to play soccer at the college level to demonstrate their skills. Training will include coaching sessions and small-sided matches led by Coach Philpott and Coach Antoine. Participants should bring indoor shoes and cleats.
Both camps will be held at IC's England Stadium. Further registration details and information are available online.
Coach Philpott emphasizes the balance of skill enhancement and sportsmanship throughout the camps. "Teamwork and sportsmanship will be emphasized, and fun games and contests will be played throughout the camp."
