Jarrett James played a key role in securing a 13th-place finish for the Blueboys at the recent Take Back the Night tournament. The event was hosted by Millikin University and took place at Red Tail Golf Course and South Side Country Club.
In the opening round at Red Tail Run, the Blueboys performed well, achieving a team score of 299. However, the subsequent round at South Side Country Club presented more difficulties for the team, leading to higher scores. The Blueboys recorded a 308 in the second round, ending the tournament with a total score of +39.
James distinguished himself by tying for fifth place individually. His performance in the second round was notably consistent, marked by an even-par 70 that included both two birdies and two bogeys.
Teddy Walbaum concluded the tournament at +7, shooting a 76 (+6). Teammates Dylan Clark and Tobin Nell scored 80 and 82, respectively, contributing to the team's overall results.
The Blueboys will now turn their attention to the upcoming 2025 SLIAC Men's Golf Championships. This 56-hole competition is scheduled to take place at Timbergate Golf Course in Edinburgh, Indiana, from May 4 to May 6.
