Illinois College faced a challenging match against Lawrence, falling 16-6 in the final home game of the weekend series. The game, held in Jacksonville, saw Lawrence improve its season record to 16-16 (10-6), while Illinois College moved to 22-15 (10-8) after the defeat.

In the early innings, Illinois College's Tyler Barker drove Louie Bartletti home with an RBI single, marking the Blueboys' initial score. Despite trailing, Illinois College managed to cut into the deficit in subsequent innings, with Barker contributing a double and a solo home run. He ended the day 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two extra-base hits.

Bartletti had a notable performance at the top of the lineup, reaching base five times, stealing two bases, and scoring three runs. Additionally, Connor Hennemann added an RBI double off the bench, while Shelby Lee and Logan Fleener reached base safely in pinch-hit roles.

The team's pitching rotation included six different Blueboys, but Lawrence's significant innings, particularly a five-run eighth and a three-homer ninth, widened the gap beyond Illinois College's reach.

The Blueboys will next travel for their final regular-season series against Beloit, with a doubleheader set to begin at 12:00 pm on Saturday.
