There is only one week remaining until the new federal REAL ID requirements take effect. Starting May 7, individuals over 18 will need to present a REAL ID to board domestic flights, access certain federal facilities, or enter military bases. However, if you have not yet obtained your REAL ID, there is no need to panic.

"Lines are currently very long at Secretary of State DMV facilities across the state; but if you haven’t obtained your REAL ID yet don’t panic."

For those who have not acquired a REAL ID, important information can be found on the Secretary of State’s website. This includes details on REAL ID Saturdays, the necessary documents to apply for a REAL ID, and alternate identification options.
