The Illinois College women's tennis team faced a challenging start at the 2024-25 Midwest Conference Team Tournament. In the opening round held at the Nielsen Tennis Center in Middleton, Wisconsin, the team was defeated by Grinnell College.
Grinnell secured the doubles point by claiming victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions, with the No. 1 match left unfinished. Michelle Maag and Lily Ingram of Illinois College lost their match at the No. 2 position, with a score of 6-3.
Following this, Grinnell went on to win the first three singles matches, thereby clinching the overall victory against Illinois College.
