Illinois College's Jordan Closs has been recognized as the Midwest Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week, marking her fourth consecutive week and fifth time this season receiving the honor. The announcement was made by the league today.

Closs, a junior from Niantic, Illinois, showcased an outstanding performance in a game against Knox that had been suspended due to thunderstorms. When play resumed on Friday, she completed a perfect game with 12 strikeouts.

Currently, Closs holds a record of 13-3 with a 1.71 ERA and remains undefeated in conference play with an 8-0 record and a 0.28 ERA.

The Illinois College team is set to begin the 2025 Midwest Conference Tournament against Lawrence on Friday at Lake Forest, Illinois.
