The final week of the spring legislative session began today in the Illinois House, with five scheduled session days remaining to pass a state budget. As of now, there has been no preview from the majority party regarding the budget.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Democrats are considering introducing a new tax on services in Illinois. This proposal has faced strong opposition from House Republicans. "We will continue to fight for Illinois families and stand against any tax hikes on our hardworking residents," they stated.

For those interested in following along with the floor debate live throughout the week, it is available at ilga.gov/houseaudvid.asp.
