The Illinois College baseball team has achieved recognition with two players named to the D3baseball.com All-Region 9 Team. Louie Bartletti secured a place on the second team, while Charlie Lardi was included in the third team.
Bartletti's performance earned him second-team All-Conference honors in the Midwest Conference. He led his team with a .374 batting average and participated in all 40 games of the season. Bartletti drove in 33 runs, scored 51 times, and recorded 23 extra-base hits.
Lardi received accolades as the Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Year and gained first-team All-Conference status. His season concluded with a 7-1 record, maintaining a 1.91 ERA. Over his 10 starts, he struck out a school-record of 82 batters while allowing only 13 earned runs.
