Approval of Minutes from May 13th 

New Business 

Coroner, Jim Allmon 

1. Approval to hire Elyse Diss for an Internship at an annual salary of $2,000 effective 6/1/25; the previous employee left the position on 7/31/24. 

Child Advocacy Center, Denise Johnson 

1. Pre-Travel Approval for Hannah Carpenter, Forensic Interviewer to attend the Child First Training in Michigan City, IN from 6/22-6/27/25 in the amount of $1,998.82.

2. Resolution to approve the application and forward to County Board for acceptance of the FY26 DCFS Grant from the Department of Child and Family Services in the amount of $296,556.91. This is a renewal and no matching funds are required. 

3. Resolution to approve the application and forward to County Board for acceptance of the FY26 VOCA Grant from the Illinois Criminal Justice Authority in the amount of $233,203. This is a renewal and no matching funds are required.

County Administration, Jeff Wilhite 

1. Approval to hire a Communications Specialist at an annual salary of up to $62,833 effective 06/02/2025. This is a new position and is budgeted. 

County Administration. Brian McFadden 

1. Approve Justice Collaboratory-Yale Law School invoice for the Massey Commission in the amount of $10,000.
