State Representative Mike Coffey will host a free document shredding event in Chatham on Saturday, October 4, from 10 a.m. to noon at Chatham Square. The event is organized in partnership with Chatham Village President Dave Kimsey and offers residents the opportunity to safely dispose of old medical records, financial statements, and other sensitive documents.

“This is a free drive-up event for shredding your old medical records, financial statements, or other sensitive information. Take advantage of this service to declutter your files before winter! If you have any questions about this event, please contact Rep. Coffey’s office at 217-782-0053 or [email protected],” said Coffey.

Coffey was elected as a Republican to the Illinois State House in 2023 and represents the state’s 95th House District, taking over from former representative Tim Butler.
