Illinois College men's soccer draws with Illinois Wesleyan in close contest

The Illinois College men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday at Neis Field in Bloomington, Illinois. This result brings Illinois College's record to 4-1-2 and Illinois Wesleyan's to 4-0-2.

Illinois Wesleyan took the lead early, scoring just over 17 minutes into the match. They maintained that advantage through the first half.

Illinois College responded in the second half when J'aiden Cranwell-Meneses scored his fourth goal of the season at the 59:53 mark, assisted by Carter Uhlman. No further goals were scored for the remainder of the match.

Both teams produced similar statistics during the game. Illinois Wesleyan had 12 shots while Illinois College managed 10. Cranwell-Meneses and Tyler Lunning each recorded two shots for Illinois College. Goalkeeper Daniel Happach played the entire match and made four saves.

Illinois College will next play at home against Elmhurst on Saturday afternoon at England Stadium, with kick-off set for 1:30 p.m.
