There were 22 Hispanic students enrolled in Menard County school districts in the 2023-24 school year, 10% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Data showed that Hispanic students made up 1% of the 2,280 students in the county. They were the second least represented ethnicity.

Among the three districts in Menard County, Athens Community Unit School District 213 recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of 22 students.

The main offices of all districts mentioned in the story are located in cities associated with Menard County.
