The Illinois College Lady Blues golf team is in fourth place after the first round of the SLIAC Women's Golf Championship, which began at Birch Creek Golf Club in St. Louis.
Macie Petropoulos led her team with a score of 81, nine over par. Her performance on the back nine included one birdie and six pars, placing her ninth overall and seven strokes behind the leader. Shelby Seiler and Emily Guest each finished their rounds with scores of 89, while Mackenzie Murphy completed the team’s scoring with a 90.
The Lady Blues will return to Birch Creek Golf Club on Tuesday morning for the second day of the three-day championship as they aim to improve their standing.
