Illinois College Rocket League team sweeps Wisconsin–Stevens Point in NECC match

The Illinois College Rocket League team achieved a 4–0 sweep against the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point during their NECC matchup on October 8. The team maintained control throughout all four games, demonstrating effective offensive strategies and reliable defense.

The Blueboys began the series with a 4–1 win. They followed up with narrow victories in the second and third games, winning 3–2 and 4–3 respectively. The final game saw Illinois College secure a 6–1 victory. Despite the absence of a key player from Stevens Point, Illinois College's coordinated play and teamwork were apparent throughout the match.

In the series, Glenn Conway led the team with eight goals and four assists. Dwight Duijneveld contributed four goals and five assists, while Lucas Barry added five goals and two assists. The players also combined for a significant number of saves and shots on goal.

The Illinois College Rocket League team will next compete in an MVEC match against Wartburg College on Monday, October 13 at 6:00 p.m.
