Illinois College's Esports team narrowly lost a NECC Overwatch match against the University of Wisconsin–River Falls, with the final score 2–3.
The match began with Illinois College taking a 2–0 win on Lijiang Tower and a close 3–2 victory on Suravasa, giving them an early advantage in the best-of-five series. UW–River Falls responded by winning New Queen Street 3–1 and then sweeping Rialto and King's Row with 3–0 victories each to secure the comeback win.
Illinois College's Overwatch team will next play against the University of Nebraska at Omaha on Friday, October 24, in another NECC matchup.
