Abby Stevens, a sophomore at Illinois College, has been recognized as the Midwest Conference Women's Swimming Performer of the Week. The announcement was made by the conference on Tuesday.
Stevens earned this honor after winning two events during the Lady Blues' recent dual meet victories over Millikin and North Central. She secured first place in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:01.20 and also won the 500-yard freestyle, finishing in 5:50.86.
The Illinois College Lady Blues are scheduled to compete again on November 1, when they travel to Monmouth for another Midwest Conference dual meet.
