Illinois College Esports splits results against Carroll University in NECC competition

Illinois College Esports teams competed against Carroll University on October 22 in NECC conference play. The Rocket League team lost 0–4, while the Super Smash Bros. squad secured a 2–0 victory.

In Rocket League, Illinois College kept each of the four games close but was unable to convert late-game opportunities. The final scores were 1–3, 1–2, 3–4, and 1–2. This result brings the team's conference record to 3–2 with two weeks left in the regular season.

Players Dwight Duijneveld, Lucas Barry, and Glenn Conway contributed both offensively and defensively during the match. Duijneveld scored three goals and had two assists; Barry recorded one goal and four saves; Conway added two goals and five saves.

The Super Smash Bros. team achieved a decisive win over Carroll University by sweeping both games—winning Game 1 by a margin of five stocks to zero and Game 2 by three stocks to zero. Adam Byrd led with eight KOs across both games. Julian Luaders contributed seven KOs, while Jake Petrovich finished with four KOs and no falls.
