University of Illinois Springfield hires interim head coach from within

The University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) women's soccer team has promoted from within, naming assistant coach Erin Egolf its interim head coach.

LLCC names 2016 Dick Dhabalt Athlete of Year Award winners

Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) recently announced the recipients of the 2016 Dick Dhabalt Athlete of the Year Award. The boys' award went to baseball player Ben Hecht from Effingham, and the girls' award went to Claire Reinthaler of Heyworth.
