The Village Board of Chatham, Illinois met this week to discuss a resolution related to the motor fuel tax (MFT) warrants and maintenance expenditure statement.
The resolution indicates that the maintenance expenditure statement for the village, equipment and labor worksheet and MFT warrants are issued to the state Department of Transportation (IDOT). This permits the MFT program to complete necessary maintenance within the village.
In the resolution it states that approval of the documents and submission to IDOT is within the best interests of the village.
All of these documents were prepared by village engineering firm, Greene & Bradford Inc. and according to a letter within the agenda packet, it was received by the village clerk on Feb. 5.
During the meeting the board reviewed and voted on whether to approve previous meeting minutes from Jan. 26. The meeting also included a discussion regarding a water system interconnection agreement that was introduced in a previous meeting. The agreement would be between Springfield and the village which would allow the sale of water from Springfield in the case of an emergency.
